Founder of Coast Music in Los Angeles' South Bay


Beth Rohde is a performer, educator, and music director with a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies from the USC Thornton School of Music, where she attended on a full scholarship from the Ella Fitzgerald Foundation.
She is the founder and music director of Coast Music in Manhattan Beach, where she mentors and develops the next generation of musical artists, including multiple YoungArts winners. Beth has taught at some of the nation’s most respected programs, including GRAMMY in the Schools and her alma mater, USC Thornton.

From 1999 to 2004, Beth was the lead vocalist for Les Brown’s Band of Renown, performing internationally and carrying on a celebrated big band legacy. Today, she continues to perform throughout the Los Angeles area with a variety of ensembles, including the Steely Dan tribute band Pretzel Logic.
Known for her versatility and expressive style, Beth brings jazz, bossa nova, R&B, and beyond to audiences across Southern California, both on stage and through her work as an educator.
